Is an emergency appointment the same as a check-up?

No, during an emergency appointment, only the issue for which you attend, will be addressed.

Does everybody receive a fluoride varnish?

Adults do not usually require a fluoride varnish however, if your dentist feels you need it, they will carry out the procedure, and patients can receive a prescription for high fluoride toothpaste.

Does everybody have an X-ray during their check-up appointment?

In general, not everyone will have an X-ray during their check-up appointment however, if one is required, your dentist will inform you in advance.
