Non-Surgical Facelift (HIFU/RF)

FAQs
Who is suitable for HIFU? HIFU is more suited to mild to moderate skin laxity. Non-invasive treatments are not likely to give those who require surgical treatment their ultimate results. Having said that, those who have more advanced skin sagging and signs of ageing can consider combining HIFU with other non-invasive skin treatments should they not be interested in surgery.
What are contraindications for (reasons to avoid) HIFU treatment? - Open wounds or lesions on the face and/or neck - Severe or cystic acne on the face and/or neck - Pacemakers & electronic device implants in there to be treated - Heart conditions - An active systematic or local skin disease that may alter wound healing - Herpes - Autoimmune disease - Epilepsy - Bell's Palsy - Issues with thyroid gland - Issues with thyroid cartilage - Issues with trachea major vessels - Breast implants or mechanical implants - Pregnancy or breastfeeding - Below 18 years of age
When are the results of HIFU visible? On average, full results are seen around 3-6 months after you've finished your course of HIFU.
Does HIFU get rid of wrinkles? Although HIFU is often referred to for skin tightening, it also reduces wrinkles and generally smooths your skin.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses non-ionising ultrasonic waves to heat or ablate (remove) tissue. In fact, it is a non-surgical skin treatment which is used to tighten, smooth and firm your skin. During HIFU skin treatment, HIFU energy quickly causes the treated tissue to warm up. This heat creates something called 'a thermal injury' which tricks the body into repair mood, thus producing new collagen and elastin.
The treatment can target different depths of your skin, from the top layer all the way down to the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) which is a mesh that lies over the top of your muscle, resulting in tighter, firmer and smoother skin.
HIFU is considered a safe, effective and non-invasive procedure for tightening facial skin. HIFU can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and body.
